Matka noil fabric is used for making very attractive
sarees with ethnic appeal. It is the short fibre left over from combing wool or
spinning silk and used as a decorative additive for many spinning projects,
like rovings and yarns. Silk noil though made from the short fibres, directly
sourced from the silkworm cocoons, is generally not used to create high quality
silk. Though the short fibre has a low
luster, it can be blended with heavier fabrics like velvets and satins to
create varied textures.
In India, with an increase in demand as a low-cost
substitute, for making sarees, dress materials etc. Noil has re-surfaced and is
experiencing a sort of revival.Silk noil can be used to design exclusive
creations
